Welcome

My name is Allan. I am 30 years old, from the United Kingdom. This site is where I write: about faith, about politics, about culture, and about the things I am thinking through.

A large part of who I am is shaped by my Catholic faith. That shows up in how I think about morality, society, and what it means to live a good life. I expect to write about that here directly, and it will also be present in how I approach other subjects.

I am also interested in politics, particularly questions of national identity, sovereignty, and belonging in the United Kingdom. These are subjects worth taking seriously, and I want to do that here rather than reduce them to slogans.

There is a technical side to this site as well. I studied computer science and am returning to programming after some years away. I will post projects and notes as I rebuild those skills.

The main thing is to write honestly and keep going.
